“Little Town” Resort in Puck

ACTIVATE AN AREA - Erasmus+ Poland
5th-year academic project

Location: Puck, Poland
Year: 2017

The site, located near the center of Puck City on the Baltic Sea shore, embraces the character of a cozy "Little Town" and fosters a strong sense of community. Central to this concept is the public square, which serves as a gathering place for residents and visitors.

Inspired by the surrounding environment, the new building blends seamlessly with its surroundings. The colored concrete facades mimic the materials of the neighboring houses, such as brick, soft pink hues, and oxidized copper, creating a collage-like effect. The interconnected volumes of the structure are unified by a playful serrated roof trim. Additionally, a whimsical sea pool, influenced by artist James Turrell, adds enchantment with its interplay of forms, light, and water.

By harmonizing with the charm of the "Little Town" atmosphere and incorporating artistic elements, this project creates a seamless integration between architecture and community, celebrating the natural beauty of the Baltic Sea shore.
